MORE ABOUT NICK
Nick Thomas developed passion and discipline for fitness at a young age when his father enrolled him in martial arts classes. He excelled through the years and even went on to compete in the sport as a young man going undefeated in 48 matches and winning the ISKA (International Sport Karate Association) in the US Open, the Battle of Atlanta, the North American Championship, and the Alabama State Championship.

While working using his degree in electro-mechanical engineering from Chattanooga State he quickly realized this did not fulfill his true passion in life and made a change, choosing to pursue a full-time career in fitness.

Nick has now been working as a master certified personal trainer and sports nutrition consultant for 25 years. After years of working for other gyms the dream of Prime became a reality in 2014 and officially opened the doors to a true one of a kind studio in late 2018. The unique style of his training is apparent from the special designed floor to minimal equipment.
Nutrition is a vital part of Nick's approach to training and no matter the age of his clients he believes it is truly the baseline for any successful fitness routine. His in depth knowledge allows him to create plans for each person which aides them in achieving their goals. He feels so passionately about nutrition and how vital it is to living a quality life he spends time educating the Athens High School football team weekly during the season and other AHS athletes through the year on how to use food in order to perform at their best.

Community involvement is very important to Nick, so in addition to volunteering with the AHS athletic department he also does various speaking engagements around North Alabama and enjoys playing the role of Superman for Eli's Block Party which raises money and awareness for childhood cancer. These are some of his most special rolls and he considers them a great honor.

Clearly Nick keeps a very busy schedule but he maintains his personal nutrition and fitness as a top priority. In 2019 he completed his fourth consecutive year of Spartan racing. He not only earned his personal trifecta but also had the unique opportunity of claiming a double trifecta as he led a small team of his clients to their own trifecta. This brings his total number of spartan races to 17 including 4 trifectas since 2016.
In 2020 Nick began intense training and competing on the Concept2 skiERG and rowERG. This journey quickly led him to many amazing experiences and accomplishments.

He currently holds the following Concept2 RowERG records:
World Records: 100 meter - 500 meter - 1 minute
American Record: 1,000 meter
World Champion: 500 meter - 2,000 meter

A childhood dream became reality for Nick in 2023. He was voted Mr. Muscle and Fitness. This humbling experience not only raised money for Wounded Warrior Project but allowed him to have a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to Arizona for a professional photo shoot and have an article written and published about him in Muscle and Fitness magazine.
